Cardiff nights
Does a surfeit of friendliness ever compensate for a lack of hygiene?
I ask after my experiences in a hotel last night.
The hotel promised a ‘home from home’ experience with ‘all the traditional values’.
Well, had I come from a United Nations camp in Darfur, it’s probably safe to say it would have seemed like home.
And, for traditional values, it turns out they meant traditional diseases, too: cholera, typhoid, polio: my bathroom had them all.
Never mind. They were very friendly. When I complained my coffee tasted of fish they replaced it immediately. One with that tasted of chicken.
I guess that’s a balanced diet of sorts.
Never mind. Back in Sophia Gardens now and glad to see that Billy Doctrove can give LBW decisions after all
